I want to know how some people deal with the onset of a bad mood. Based on your experience what is the quickest method to insure your day won't be ';one of those days'; when you feel your mood start to shift.

I think the quality of being able to see ridiculous things amidst troubles is a great quality. The people who can smile in the middle of troubles have gained God's favor. I believe cultivating the ability to see the ridiculous things can really help well.The quickest way to change a bad mood?
love and laughter have no problem.
think about something pleasant which makes you happy - call someone you bring love and laughter in your life.
First, if you are a Christian, praying and reading the Bible really helps.
Secound, good, uplifting music helps a lot.
Third, just smile, eventually you will actually be happy and continue to smile.

yep, music is a great remedy. Also it helps to hang out with a friend. They will get your mind off of the ';bad day';

Music is a sound vibration. You can use same sound vibration and use it in spiritual uplifting and over time even advancement. I have been dealing with sound vibration meditation for the past 5 years. There is a difference between that and material sound vibration. Try it and you will see by yourself. There are 3 methods of it taught in an hour class. Very practical. The mantra is ';Gau-Ra-An-Ga'; four syllables. You can even say it in your mind, but out loud is better. You don't have to involve your breathing with it but involvement is better. This is what I do. I take a deep breath in and think of Gau-Ra-An-Ga in my mind. Then I breath out saying Gau-Ra-An-Ga to the length of my breath. If you do it regularly like 15 or 20 min a day gradually changes your mood to have less bad moods over time. Music is good because it changes brain rhythm. Strenuous exercise is good because it releases endorphins which is the feel good factor. Fast dancing is great because it combines both! A brisk walk will do it too. It burns adrenaline which causes stress, and releases happy chemicals in your brain.
Comfort eating works too but it will make you unhappier still in the longer term so definitely not recommended!
You must change your mindset ot it will be one of those days!
You may laugh at this but what I do is based on latest findings in Clinical Psychology. I would go to a place like the toilet where nobody can see me and I will force myself to come up with a genuine smile. It helps if there is a mirror : )
Flow of emotion is actually reversible. It doesn't always come from the inside. If you reverse the flow, like coming up with authentic smile, then you will soon feel better.
There will be many times when you will not be able to listen to music to lift your spirit when it is down.
